Your holiday home is a more than 270 year old house in the heritage zone of the small town of St-Paul-de-Fenouillet in the Agly valley. Built from solid rock, it’s wonderfully cool even in warm summers. However, air-conditioning (cooling / heating) is provided with Daikin (installed in 2013) on all levels!
Your Gite from Top to Bottom
Second Floor: Living room with open kitchen offering great views across the valley to the Pyrenees mountains.
Kitchen: microwave, coffee maker, oven, four ring stove top burner, dishes & utensils, fridge, cutlery, glasses, plates, chopping boards… all you need to cook delicious meals.
Terrace: wooden panels, classic French garden table (metal) with four chairs, small verandah at the far end to enjoy the outdoor even when raindrops should fall. Vegetal highlight of the terrace is a lovely tree – a Evonymus japonicus (Japanese Spindle Tree) leaning against the house.
First Floor: two bedrooms with queen-size box-spring beds and ample storage space in pine wood closets and chest of drawers. Bathroom with WC, bathtub/shower. Housekeeping and laundry facilities/washing machine.
La Chambre Anis
La Chambre Fleurie
I dream of converting it into a stylish oasis with a red glass walk separating the walk-in shower from the rest of the bathroom. But that’s how it looks today. Functional and clean.
Small apartment with a „canapé-lit“, i.e daytime settee and nighttime bed (1.40 x 2m) and ample storage space, kitchen/lounge area, small bathroom with shower and toilet. A unique feature is the real rocky mountain wall in the main room with the skyline of S-Paul-de-Fenouillet depicted in the top right corner of the rock.
The basement apartment can be closed off from the two upper levels by key and be booked separately – or used as an additional option for larger parties.
